The Danish Guarantee Fund for Non-life insurers takes over the obligations to take the portfolio of industrial injury insurance business under administration, when a non-life insurance company has its license to exercise industrial injury insurance business revoked or goes into bankruptcy.
The 1 June 2021 the Danish Parliament enacted act no. 1163 concerning, among other things, amendment of act for a guarantee fund for non-life insurers.
With effect from 1 July 2021, the new regulation entails the Danish Guarantee Fund for Non-life Insurers' take over of the obligations to take the portfolio of industrial injury insurance under administration, when a non-life insurance company has its license to exercise industrial injury insurance business revoked or goes into bankruptcy.
The Danish Guarantee Fund for Non-life Insurers will also take over the administration of the industrial injury insurance portfolios, which are currently administered by the Labor Market Insurance (AES), ie. Alpha Insurance and CBL Insurance.
