By a decree issued by the Maritime and Commercial Court in Copenhagen on 8 May 2018, Alpha Insurance A/S filed for bankruptcy. In that connection, the Court of Appeal appointed Attorney Boris Frederiksen from Kammeradvokaten/Poul Schmith as insolvency administrator.
Notification of claims of damage to the Guarantee Fund had to be done no later than November 8, 2018
According to the Danish Guarantee Fund for Non-life Insurance Companies Act, compensation claims that are covered by the Fund shall be notified to the Fund no later than 6 months after the bankruptcy decree of 8 May 2018. Claims that are covered by the Fund must therefore be notified to the Fund no later than 8 November 2018.
