The Danish Financial Supervisory Authority (DFSA) has on the 14th of August 2025 instructed the Danish Guarantee Fund for Non-life insures (The Fund) to collect contributions in 2026, fixed at DKK 5 per further specified consumer insurances written or renewed in Denmark. The DFSA has also instructed the Fund to collect contributions fixed at DKK 30 per insured under an industrial injury insurance policy, including violent injury insurance policy (converted into full time employees) written or renewed in Denmark in 2026. Furthermore, the DFSA has instructed the Guarantee Fund in 2026 to collect DKK 5 per motor liability insurance policy, that is written or renewed by Danish insurance companies within the European Union or countries with which the Union has financial agreements.
The DFSA has by letter of the 14th of August 2025 instructed the Fund to collect contributions fixed at DKK 30 per insured under an industrial injury insurance policy, including violent injury insurance policy, contributions fixed at DKK 5 per motor liability policy, and contributions fixed at DKK 5 per policy in 2026 for the following types of insurance:
- Familieforsikringer (household contents insurance)
- Husejerforsikringer (property insurance)
- Sundhedsforsikringer (health insurance)
- Ejerskifteforsikringer(latent defect insurance - change-of-ownership)
- Sælgeransvarsforsikring (property sellers liability insurance) and
- Byggeskadeforsikringer (structural warranty insurance – new build)
- Motorkaskoforsikringer (motor hull insurance)
The contributions are to be reported and paid to the Guarantee Fund on a quarterly basis. Contributions for the first quarter must be reported to the Guarantee Fund no later than April 30, 2026, and paid to the Guarantee Fund by May 1, 2026.
