Administration company

Topdanmark Forsikring A/S is the administration company for the Danish Guarantee Fund for Non-Life Insurers for the period from 1 December 2016 to 30 November 2020.

The previous framework agreement concerning the administration of claims notifications and the payment of compensation in connection with the bankruptcy of a non-life insurance company covered by the Danish Guarantee Fund for Non-Life Insurers expired on 30 November 2016. The framework agreement was therefore put out to public EU tender with a view to taking effect on 1 December 2016.

The tender, which was published under Contract Notice No. 2015/S 246-447566 of 19 December 2015, was conducted as an open procedure in accordance with the Public Procurement Directive (2004/18/EC), with “lowest price” as the award criterion. By the tender deadline on 9 February 2016, the Danish Guarantee Fund had received one tender.

The agreement means that Topdanmark administers the portfolio of claims in the event of the bankruptcy of a non-life insurance company during the relevant period. Read more about the applicable framework agreement here.
